Burritos recipe is significantly easier you can make it at home without any hustle. Burritos are stuffed with beef, Mexican rice, corn, beans, and cheese. You can also freeze them and when you are starving enjoy your Mexican food cravings put them in the microwave and enjoy a tasty meal.
Burritos Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 tsp onion powder, oregano & Salt
- 2 tsp dried cumin powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- ¼ tsp paprika powder
- ½ tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ finely chopped onion
- 500g/ 1lb minced beef (ground beef)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp wine vinegar or cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp water
- 6-8 large tortillas
- 3 cups cooked rice or Mexican tomato rice
- 3 cups finely sliced lettuce, iceberg, or cabbage (if freezing)
- 1 cup corns
- 1 cup beans
- 3 diced tomatoes without seeds
- ½ red onion
- Finely chopped cilantro
- 150g shredded cheese
Step 1: Heat oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add garlic and onion and fry for a few minutes until onion changes its color to light brown then add oregano and cook for a few seconds. Add the minced beef and cook on high heat by continuously stirring until its color changes from red to brown also add black pepper. Then add vinegar and pour the tomatoes.
Step 2: Add tomato paste, paprika, coriander, and cumin powder and cook for 2-3 minutes until the water dried up and the beef should be juicy, not dried. Now add corn, canned beans, and water from the can. Stir and simmer all things for 15 minutes unless beef must be in thick gravy.
Step 3: For making burritos, heat the tortillas add cooked Mexican rice then add beef mixture and put lettuce slice and cilantro after this filling fold the sides of the tortillas to ready the burritos, now put these tortillas in a baking tray and top up with grated cheese and you can serve with salsa and sour cream, avocado or guacamole.
